Abstract: In order to explore the feasibility of the culture model of raising hybrid Pelteobagrus (Pelteobagrus vachelli♀×P.fulvidraco♂) twice a year in pond in north Zhejiang,hybrid Pelteobagrus fry cultured in pond once a year and juvenile cultured in pond twice a year were contrasted.The results showed that hybrid Pelteobagrus juveniled cultured in pond twice a year harvested larger commercial fish with higher survival rate and price.Also,hybrid Pelteobagrus juvenile cultured in pond twice a year could shorten culturing period and quicken the return of funds,obtaining higher unit benefit and economic benefit.Hybrid Pelteobagrus juvenile cultured in pond twice a year was more valuable to be promoted in north Zhejiang Province.
