Abstract: Sensitivities of 32 pathogenic Aeromonas (A. hydrophila,A. veronii,A. caviae and A. jandaei) to 30 antibiotics were tested in this study. The results showed that,the majority of pathogenic Aeromonas were sensitive to 16 drugs of gentamicin,Amikacin,ceftazidime,cefotaxime,kanamycin,lomefloxacin,nitrofurantoin,piperacillin,levofloxacin,spectinomycin,streptomycin,azithromycin,ceftriaxone,norfloxacin,doxycycline and cefuroxime,while most strains were resistant to 11 drugs of novobiocin,cefaclor,cefradine,cefazolin,cefoxitin,rifampicin,SMZ-TMP,ampicillin,acetylspiramycin,carbenicillin and penicillin. 32 strains were sensitive to 6 types of drugs including beta lactams,aminoglycosides,fluoroquinolones,quinolones,tetracycline and nitrofurans,while were resistant 3 types of drugs of ansamycins,sulfonamides and coumarin; in addition to piperacillin,all of 32 strains were sensitive to the other 3 penicillin types of drugs; most strains were sensitive to 1 macrolides (azithromycin) and 4 cephalosporin (cefuroxime,ceftriaxone,cefotaxime,ceftazidime),but were resistant to other macrolides and cephalosporin. Seven strains of A.veronii were all sensitive to cefaclor,Cefradine,cephalothin and cefazolin,but the other 3 species of Aeromonas were resistant to the 3 antibiotics.
