Abstract: Crayfish has always been an important business card in Qianjiang City, Hubei Province.In 2020, Qianjiang has become the city with the highest output of crayfish breeding and the largest total processing in the province.Therefore, it is very necessary to comprehensively evaluate the current situation and sustainable development of crayfish industry in Qianjiang.Based on the aquaculture performance index evaluation system, i.e.API model, this paper made a comprehensive evaluation from the three dimensions of environment, economy and social welfare.It was concluded that among the three dimensions, the environmental dimension showed the weakest link with Qianjiang crayfish industry, the factors of economic dimension were relatively balanced, and the positive impact of social welfare dimension was more significant.It was suggested that Qianjiang caryfish industry should pay attention to optimizing industrial technical services, establishing information sharing mechanism and actively introducing product certification system.
