Abstract
In order to study the effects of drilling fluid and drilling cuttings discharge on the growth and survival of marine organisms, understand the effects of different concentrations of suspended solids on the survival of marine organisms, and optimize the discharge mode of offshore drilling pollutants, different concentrations of water-based drilling fluid and drilling cuttings were selected to carry out acute toxicity test on juvenile Sebastes schlegeli. The abnormal or death effects of juvenile S.schlegeli within 96 hours were observed and determined, and the concentrations of water-based drilling fluid and drilling cuttings that had significant effects on juvenile S.schlegeli were analyzed and calculated. The results showed that the high concentration of water-based drilling fluid and cuttings would have toxic effect on juvenile S.schlegeli.That is to say, when the concentration of water-based drilling fluid exceeded 78.91 mg/L,and the concentration of drilling cuttings exceeded 41.41 g/L,it would cause certain harm to juvenile S.schlegeli.
