Open Access Statement

Journal of Fisheries Research flipped to an open access journal in 2023, using the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) license. All articles published from issue 1 of 2023 onwards are open access works, which are archived on the journal's official website immediately after publication and are permanently available to all users free of charge. In addition, users may copy and distribute the articles under the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license, provided they follow the terms of the license, including:

When copying and distributing the open access articles published in the journal, users must provide appropriate attribution, include a link to the license, and indicate if any changes have been made to the original article. Attribution may be done in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the journal endorses the use. The articles cannot be used for commercial purposes. If the articles are remixed, transformed, or built upon, the modified articles cannot be distributed. Archiving & Availability

Articles published in the journal before 2023 are not open access. In terms of the non-open access articles, those published in recent years are fully archived on the journal's website, with free PDF downloads available to readers (see Archive). Older articles are not currently archived on the website, and readers who require their full texts can access them on a paid basis via CNKI (https://www.cnki.net/) or other databases.

Author Self-Archiving

Authors may store all versions of their articles in an institutional or other repository of their choice. In the repository, it should be indicated that the article was originally published in Journal of Fisheries Research.

Copyright Policy

Authors are required to sign and submit a Copyright Transfer Agreement at the time of submission. According to this agreement, once an article is accepted by the journal, the author(s) will transfer the copyright of the article (including but not limited to the rights of reproduction, translation, distribution, information network dissemination, compilation, etc., in all languages and media) to the editorial office of Journal of Fisheries Research, for an unlimited period of time, throughout the world. The editorial office of the journal will be the copyright holder of the article.

After an article is published in the journal, the author(s) of the article will have the following rights:

1. The author(s) may use the article under the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license, for example, reproducing the article, in whole or part, in non-commercial activities such as study, research, lecturing and teaching.

2. The author(s) may republish the article, its translation or excerpts without permission from the editorial office of Journal of Fisheries Research, provided that the author(s) do not use the layout of the journal and that the republication does not take place in other journals. Meanwhile, the author(s) should indicate that the article was originally published in Journal of Fisheries Research, with the volume, issue and page number.

3. The author(s) may use the article for other activities permitted and authorized by the editorial office.
