Abstract
The strain named Ms37101NG which was proved to be a pathogen by artificial injection experiments was isolated from skin fester disease of Anguilla japonica by the Aquatic Aromotion Station Of Fuqing. The strain Ms37101NG belonged to Aeromonas spp. according to physiological and biochemical analysis. In order to further classify the pathogen, 16SrRNA genes partial sequences were determined by Molecular Biological identification in this study. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16SrRNA gene sequences indicated that strain Ms37101NG showed the highest level of similarity to A. veronii (AY987744), and its nucleotide identity was 96%. This indicated that the strain Ms37101NG was most close to A. veronii. Based on the results obtained, the strain Ms37101NG was identified as A. veronii.
