Research advance in properties and application of aquatic collagen

Aquatic collagen is a kind of high polymer, which exists widely in the skin, scale, bone and ligament of aquatic animal. The aquatic collagen not only has extensive sources, but also has special structures and functions. TypeⅠcollagen is the main form of aquatic collagen. The physicochemical properties and application status of aquatic collagen were reviewed and the prospects for the future research directions of aquatic collagen were made in this paper.
