The observation and analysis on the wave-clip effect of floating tyre breakwater with HDPE pipe

The floating tyre breakwater with HDPE pipe designed by Fujian Fisheries Research Institute, can effectively reduce the wave intensity in some extent. The author made wave characteristics observations outside and inside of the floating tyre breakwater with HDPE pipe in Luoyuan Bay, and worked out the calculation and analysis, to verify the wave reducing performance of the breakwater.The result indicate: the floating tyre breakwater with HDPE pipe has the effect of wave- clip, which efficiency reaches 33.33%～-42.86%.Keywords: the effect of wave- clip observation analyse
