The ecological characteristics of zooplankton and the relationship among environmental factors in the Sanya Bay in spring

    • The distribution characteristics, the species composition, dominant species, biomass, density, diversity index and the evenness were analyzed, according to the data which was investigated in March 28 to April 3,2011.The results showed that, there were 68 species of zooplankton was identified in this investigation. And the dominant species was the copepods as Tortanus gracilis,Acartia pacifica, Corycaeus speciosus, Nannocalanus minor,Canthocalanus pauper and Temora turbinate, chaetognatha such as Sagitta bedoti and Sagitta enflata, ostracoda such as Euconchoecia aculeate, tunicate such as Oikopleura dioica, sergestidae such as Lucifer intermedius. The mainly ecological characteristics of the zooplankton was neritic warm water species. The distribution of the biomass and the density of the zooplankton in Sanya Bay have showed a trend such as counterclockwise to reduce gradually from the estuary along the Sanya bay to the outside sea, then to the coastal of Luhuitou, and the inner bay were more than the outer bay. The density of the zooplankton was significant positive correlation with the heavy metal Cu,positive correlation with the water temperature, and was significant negative correlation with active phosphate, negative correlation with salinities. The biomass of zooplankton was significant positive correlation with the suspended matter,Chlorophyll a and Cu,was negative correlation with salinities.
