Abstract
To compare the culture effects of two kinds of diets: soft artificial diet and fresh trash fish used to feed pseudosciaena crocea cultured in the net cage, the test was carried out in MA BI Yu Jing Cage Culture Area, Fujian Province, in May 2011 by selecting the average size of 152g each individual of pseudosciaena crocea. After 60 days’ feeding, the average weight of each pseudosciaena crocea respectively were 256.9 g for the group fed with soft artificial diet and 231.3g for the group fed with fresh trash fish; the average feed coefficient respectively were 2.505 for soft artificial diet group and 7.306 for fresh trash fish group; the culture-cost for 1 kg gain weight of pseudosciaena crocea respectively were 15 Yuan for test group and 19.7 Yuan for control group, saving 4 Yuan. The results indicated that the pseudosciaena crocea fed with soft artificial diet had the better culture effect, the higher rate of survival and more environmental protection and other comprehensive benefits.
